Last month, we put out the call for you to join us in our celebration of all things food truck by sending in your photos of what #StreetFood means to you, and you responded by the hundreds. You not only captured the traditional push carts and trucks, but included shops open to the street and even a meal being prepared on a floating boat. Foods ranged from Turkish bagels to dried fish to fried coconut rice pancakes, each framed reverently, colorfully, and honestly.
“It was amazing the different ways that people interpreted what street food meant,” says Jessie Wender, senior photo editor at National Geographic, who had the difficult job of selecting the winners from all the Your Shot entries. See more of Wender’s comments in the captions and enjoy the Your Shot #StreetFood gallery.
